Section 1: Child Development and Pedagogy (30 MCQs)

Pedagogical Issues: Concept and scope of EVS, the significance of EVS, integrated EVS, environmental studies & environmental education, learning principles, scope & relation to science & social science, approaches of presenting concepts, activities, experimentation/practical work, discussion, CCE, teaching material/aids, problems.

Gujarat TET 2 Syllabus 2025 (For Upper Primary Teachers: Standards 6 to 8)

The TET 2 exam is for candidates aspiring to teach in the upper primary sections. The structure of the exam is slightly different from TET 1.

Section 1: Child Development and Pedagogy (30 MCQs)
The syllabus for this section is the same as that of TET 1, but with a focus on the educational psychology of children aged 11 to 14 years.

Section 2: Language I (Gujarati - 30 MCQs)
The syllabus for this section is similar to TET 1, with a higher difficulty level in reading comprehension and pedagogical questions.

Section 3: Language II (English - 30 MCQs)
The syllabus for this section is also similar to TET 1, with an increased level of difficulty.
Section 4: This section is subject-specific and candidates have to choose one of the following:


(A) Mathematics and Science (For Mathematics and Science Teachers - 60 MCQs)

Mathematics: Number System, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Data Handling. Pedagogical issues related to the nature of mathematical/logical thinking.

(B) Social Science (For Social Science Teachers - 60 MCQs)

Geography: Geography as a social study and as a science, Planet: Earth in the solar system, Globe, Environment in its totality: natural and human environment, Air, Water, Human Environment: settlement, transport and communication, Resources: Types-Natural and Human, Agriculture.

Social and Political Life: Diversity, Government, Local Government, Making a Living, Democracy, State Government, Understanding Media, Unpacking Gender, The Constitution, Parliamentary Government, The Judiciary, Social Justice and the Marginalized.
